Sodium acetate or sodium acetate is a mineral substance with the chemical formula Na (CH 3COO) / NaOAc, which is a white, non-ferrous crystalline, which has a characteristic of its digestibility. It also has a lot of uses in the industry.  Sodium acetate is commonly used in laboratory applications from the reaction of sodium carbonate with acetic acid (washing agent) - with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) - sodium hydroxide (alkaline water of soap). In the industry, sodium acetate is usually reacted with acetic acid with Sodium hydroxide is obtained from Sodium Acetate.

It can be used to produce an ester with an alkali halide such as bromine ethane.
